Zara A Barger
Zara is a Research Assistant with the Sarcoma Biology and Therapeutics group at the Children’s Cancer Institute, under the supervision of Dr Emmy Fleuren. She graduated from a Bachelors of Biomedical Engineering with first class honours at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) in 2021, where she worked on the development of a drug delivery system for castration resistant prostate cancer. Her current research revolves around finding novel targeted therapeutics for sarcoma, with a focus on osteosarcomas, where in addition to discovering novel therapeutic avenues, she is also generating novel preclinical models.
